Sebugwawo & Co. Hosts Legal Awareness Week on Public Procurement

As part of its ongoing public education efforts, Sebugwawo & Co. Advocates recently hosted a Legal Awareness Week focused on public procurement laws and practices in Uganda. The week-long initiative was aimed at enlightening SMEs, civil society groups, and public officials about compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDA) Act.

The event featured daily webinars, free legal consultations, and a panel discussion with legal experts and procurement specialists. Topics included common procurement pitfalls, how to draft compliant bids, and navigating appeals processes in tender disputes.

Partner and event coordinator Advocate Paul Kiggundu expressed the firm’s commitment to promoting transparency and accountability in public sector contracts. “We believe legal knowledge empowers responsible participation in national development,” he said.e toilet paper is septic-safe, particularly for households with older plumbing or a septic system. Some thicker or heavily quilted toilet papers may take longer to break down, leading to potential clogs. Many brands now produce biodegradable and fast-dissolving toilet paper that is safe for all plumbing systems, making them an excellent choice for eco-conscious consumers.

Sustainability is also becoming an increasingly important consideration. Many consumers are shifting towards bamboo or recycled toilet paper, which helps reduce deforestation and minimizes the environmental impact of production. While these options may be slightly more expensive, they contribute to a greener planet without sacrificing quality. Choosing the right toilet paper involves balancing comfort, cost, and environmental responsibility to meet the needs of your household.
